Denver Web Design Talk - Do Google Adwords Work

That answer may very well be found on your browser. Enter your keyword phrase. If you appear anywhere on those few pages than you probably do not need adwords. It is a pretty common perspective that consumers typically do not buy much through ad links. They just don’t seem to trust them as much as the real search engines. Therefore, if you are showing up towards the top you are wasting your time with adwords. Remember, every time your adword is clicked the register at google goes ding! So, whom is the adword really working for?

Now, on the other hand, if you do not fare well after a search on the google express then the adwords may do you some good. The problem is, there is disturbing news on the google front, they are raising their prices. By definition, it is supposed to be an open bidding process. But is it? If that were the case when you bid low and did not fare well against the competitor, you would simply be ranked lower. However, it seems that google is not demanding minimum bids. Therefore, if you don’t meet it you won’t get ranked at all. There is something strange going on over there. There is serious question as to whether or not there should be minimum bidding. It should be set up as before. If you bid low, you get ranked accordingly.

Google has you between a rock and a hard place. They are well aware that you have two ways to go, you place your ads with them, or you don’t place ads. Anytime we allow a single business to find them in that favorable position the dream of fairness is tarnished. It is the competition that balances everything out. Perhaps adwords work for some marketers. However, nothing can compare in value to showing up on the first few pages of a real search.
