Building Your Website Around Valued Customers

We know that a well constructed website can benefit a business.  However, sometimes you find sites that are heavily managed and narrowly focused to the point that they get tunnel vision.  They get stuck on a one- way street and cannot see what is going on around them.  It is true that more pages open you up for more indexing.  Most companies build page after page.  However, if you don’t fill those pages with information that will attract your most valued customers, than you are fighting a losing battle.  The problem with having too many pages on your website is that often you do not have enough people involved to properly take care of them.

There are many web masters who don’t even remember when they last updated their content.  That is a problem.  In addition they get frustrated because they have too many pages of content to oversee.  This is a problem as well.  All those pages don’t just appear.  It grows over time by filling your site with too much useless content.  If you try to be the jack of all trades and master of none your website will suffer.  Most of the successful websites are simple in nature.  They get straight to the point and they are not complicated.

If you are having a problem generating good traffic it is always best to seek a professional.  They will know what to do to bring your site back to life.  They will pull out what is not working and introduce things that will work.  The golden rule of marketeering is quite simple.  Don’t spend all your time reaching out to customers you wish you had and reach out to customers you need to have.  You don’t want the customer that is unsure about spending.  You want the customer that is clear about his purpose and wants to spend.  You have to ask yourself if you are prepared for this customer.  Set back and look at your website.  If your most valued customer were to visit.  That customer who just loves to spend money and is willing to do so.  Do you have the things he will be looking for?  Will you be able to satisfy their needs fast and with ease?  If not, then your website is not where it needs to be.
